Portraits

Absent from most of Manuel Amado's painting, the human figure was, however, very present in his first works, when he was still exploring paths for his painting. 
Some of these early portraits reveal closeness to the paintings of De Chirico and Henri Matisse, artists who marked him in his early years as a painter.
