Project

Manuel Amado, Catalogue Raisonné is an online project that gathers the complete work of the artist and where can be found various complementary information, including introductory texts to his pictorial series, the essays that several authors wrote about his painting, the list of exhibitions, both individual and collective, and a biography, thus constituting a repository for the integral knowledge of the work of Manuel Amado. Through a search tool and a set of filters, it is possible to easily locate specific paintings among the more than a thousand placed on this website.

This online catalogue aims at various audiences, working as the primary source of information about the artist's path and pictorial work. It is the result of a collective team effort. It will be updated frequently, allowing the incorporation of new information and new studies by academics and curators that further deepen and share the knowledge of Manuel Amado's painting.

Manuel Amado

In my attentive time of doing painting,
there are no references to battles;
only awareness of the effort to find
the luminous signals that mimic
what we all know
without being sure to know it.
