My Garden

These paintings recall from memory the garden of the house where Manuel Amado grew up.
The contours pruned in drawings of the hedges and the lines of the walls and gates are evoked, contrasting the built, architectural and vegetal order with the foliage of trees and shrubs that escape the geometrical space. They are in close relationship with the paintings of O Jardim Encantado, as both series oscillate between the representation of a real place and a place of indefinite temporal distance linked to the childhood fantasy of yore, which the painting allows to revive.
